Portugal coach Fernando Santos can understand Cristiano Ronaldo wanting to stay with Manchester United.
The 37 year-old has declared he will stick with United, despite their dismal past season.
Santos said: "I've said it many times, Cristiano is the best player in the world. On his decision to stay at Manchester United, it's his choice. I don't have to say if I think it's good or bad. It's a personal decision.
"I'm just saying that not many people have the opportunity to play at Manchester United, one of the biggest clubs in the world.
"That's what Cristiano has done all these years."
