Matthijs de Ligt says he's in no rush to finalise a new contract with Juventus.
The defender is in talks about an upgrade with the Bianconeri.
De Ligt said, "Negotiations are ongoing at the moment and when the time comes I will decide whether to extend or look elsewhere. I always look at what is best for me in terms of the sporting project.
“Two consecutive fourth place finishes are not enough, we have to make progress in that direction because these are disappointing results. Juventus are a club that always wants and must become champions."
The 22 year-old added: “Personally, this is my best year so far, both in terms of playing time and performance. Also because of the injuries to (Leonardo) Bonucci and (Giorgio) Chiellini, this year I think I have shown what I am capable of."
