Everton have made a contract offer to departing Burnley defender James Tarkowski.
Journalist Ryan Taylor claims the Blues have submitted a contract offer and hopeful of wrapping up a deal for the player.
The central defender will be available on a free transfer at the end of the month as his contract with Burnley is set to expire.
Taylor said, "As of now, no talks between Besiktas and Burnley for Wout Weghorst, despite reports. Expectation Dutchman will depart this summer but nothing imminent.
"Everton also hopeful of wrapping up signing of James Tarkowski on free transfer after submitting formal contract offer."
