Bayern Munich have sought a public truce with Barcelona target Robert Lewandowski.

Lewandowski is determined to move to Barcelona, despite having a year left on his contract with Bayern Munich.

His latest comments have left no room for doubt, despite Bayern's refusal to facilitate his departure.

"He has a contract with us until 2023 and we are very happy that he is still here. I think things will calm down from now on," Hasan Salihamizdic, Bayern Munich's sporting director, told BILD.

"We know what we have with him and he knows what he has here. We talked about his public comments and that we should all calm down."

Salihamizdic acknowledged that he had spoken with Lewandowski and that, for the time being, they have agreed on a truce.
