The Senegalese is reportedly ready to quit Liverpool after their Champions League final loss to Real Madrid.
Mane has a year left on his contract and may want a new challenge having been a the club since 2016.
According to the Daily Mail, Bayern are eager to sign Mane, but will quickly move on to other targets if a deal cannot be done.
They have real interest in City star Sterling, who is likely to be available after the arrival of Erling Haaland.
Julian Nagelsmann's side would face a lot of competition for Sterling, with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético Madrid and Chelsea eager to sign him as well.
