
Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Hajiji Noor said the State Government looks positively at a lawsuit by the Sabah Law Society (SLS) in respect to a much-sought-after 40-percent federal grant to the state.
Hajiji, in a statement, said the Government takes note of the group's application for a judicial review in respect of the 40-percent net revenue in the form of a Special Grant that Sabah is entitled to under the Federal Constitution.
He said the Government sees the initiative by the SLS in a positive light as a nonpartisan and apolitical common furtherance of the constitutional arrangements when Sabah co-formed Malaysia in 1963.
