Manchester United youngster Mason Greenwood is inching closer to signing an extension with the club.
The teenager scored his first senior goal against Astana in the Europa League in midweek.
He missed their Premier League defeat to West Ham with illness, but he is seen as a key member of the first team squad by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
And respected Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano stated on his Instagram account that United and Greenwood are finalising new contract talks.
He believes that a five-year deal is on the table and that Greenwood will accept.
It would be a significant coup for United, who also hope to tie down the likes of Tahith Chong and Angel Gomes in the coming months.
