Watford manager Javi Gracia says he will use "fresh legs" for Tuesday's Carabao Cup clash with Coventry City.

The Hornets are winless from their three Premier League games this season, and some players will be looking to hit some form against the League One club.

"I think we need fresh legs to compete," he said.

"We did it last season [in the cups] but we have to know how some players are after Saturday and how those who are injured are. It's a good chance for us."

On facing Mark Robins' side, Gracia added: "They are a good team. They are brave, play 4-3-3, attacking well and I like the way they are playing.

"We have to be ready to compete well. It doesn't matter if we are playing Coventry or another team. This is a good chance and we have to take it and prepare well. Nothing else matters only this game, the next one.

"It's a good chance to try and play well, to try and get a good result. I think it helps us to get more confidence for the next [Premier League] game. It's a good opportunity to try and improve our balance between defending and attacking. We need to do it quickly."
