Burnley manager Sean Dyche has received no encouragement regarding possible signings.
The Clarets are struggling to add the players they want that would help them compete for a mid table position next season.
They have only added Jay Rodriguez and Erik Pieters to last season's squad.
But Dyche says nothing is imminent on the transfer front.
Speaking to reporters, the Englishman: "No encouragement, it costs money and money is difficult to find at this place."
Unlike other Premier League clubs, Burnley do not have a significant budget for incoming transfers.
