Marco Silva says the quality of Everton's squad is benefitting their performances.
The Toffees have endured a tough start to the season, but Silva has seen enough in training to bee optimistic.
Asked by evertontv if the fight for places is intensifying, Silva said: "Yes, definitely, and that will make the difference in the end.
"They [players] understand every match is really important.
"If you play 90 minutes, or if you play 10 or 15 minutes, you can be a decisive player.
"I understand all of them want to play 90 or 95 minutes, not just 15 or 20, but in some moments you can be really decisive and play a key role in the game, whether it's for 15 minutes or 30 minutes.
"We've had a few examples of that in recent games Gylfi did well in the final minutes against West Ham, and Cenk came on and provided an assist against Watford.
"Every time we change something in a game, we expect good things from those players coming on the pitch, and it's good for me to see that they are coming in and helping the team.
"We hope in the next few games it's not just the 11 starting players [who have an influence] but the players who come on that can change the game again."
