West Ham face tough competition for Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez.
The Daily Express says the Hammers have been waiting patiently for Gomez to finish his Copa America duties with home nation Peru, who were knocked out of the competition on Saturday.
But Spanish side Valencia are now set to rival the East London club, and have already had a 22 million bid rejected.
Valencia are now said to have offered a players-plus-cash deal to Celta in an attempt to beat West Ham to Gomez' signature.
