Former Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes says Toni Kroos won't be retiring anytime soon.

The Real Madrid midfielder has suggested he's walk away in three years' time.

But Heynckes, who coached Kroos at Bayern, said: "Players with such experience need a coach like Zidane to get the best out of them.

"I am quite convinced that Toni will play a key role at Real Madrid for a few more years.

"The team has to regain stability with Zidane, the whole project has to be harmoniously designed again, which is not always easy."
