Former Stoke City, Birmingham and Derby County boss Gary Rowett is on the shortlist to replace Neil Harris at Millwall.
Harris left the post earlier this week with the Lions towards the bottom of the Championship.
Sky Sports says former Everton and Millwall striker Tim Cahill is also in contention.
The South-East London club are keen to appoint a new manager before their next fixture against Brentford on October 19.
