Adam Bogdan says Andy Lonergan will be a good character in the Liverpool dressing room.
The goalkeeper was signed this summer after being released by Rochdale last season.
Former Reds keeper Bogdan told the Liverpool Echo: "He's a brilliant guy, a fantastic guy. He's happy, a nice person. He has experience, not with big teams but massive experience in football.
"He works his socks off in training. He's a very good goalkeeper otherwise he wouldn't get the deal.
"I'm sure he will be a good character in the dressing room and try and do everything to push the other keepers and help them as well.
"Now he gets the chance to be part of this team at Liverpool. Wow, what a story."
