Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer feels Fred is beginning to live up to his price-tag.
Solskjaer believes the improving performances of 52million Fred are validation that United were right to persevere with the 26-year-old Brazilian after a poor debut season.
First, the price tag is none of Fred's concern because that is just how football has gone. That shouldn't be on Fred, that should be on us," said the United boss.
"Fred's now showing what we saw in him. He's more confident, he believes in himself. He has creativity and tenacity and he's shown in the last few games what his strengths are."
