Steven Gerrard has reportedly told his Rangers players that he will only turn his back on them if he is offered the Liverpool job, according to the Mirror.
Gerrard has been busy in the market again this year as he attempts to build on their second place finish last season.
That possibility would seem some distance off just yet, with Jurgen Klopp happily in charge, but shows Anfield great Gerrard could one day emulate what Frank Lampard has done by returning to Chelsea.
For now, Gerrard has assured his players he's committed to them after recently turning down Newcastle.
