Manchester United fullback Aaron Wan-Bissaka was already carrying the back injury that lead to him withdrawing from England's squad for the upcoming Euro2020 qualifiers.
The 60million summer signing withdrew from the squad for the games against Bulgaria and Kosovo on Tuesday due to the back problem.
According to the Daily Mail, Wan-Bissaka was playing through the pain in order to make his first senior international cap.
The 21-year-old is expected to return for United's next game against Leicester City.
