Scott McTominay says Manchester United are taking their preseason 'very, very seriously'.
The Red Devils are currently in Perth for the start of their preseason tour of Australasia.
And despite the external noise, McTominay insists everyone is focused on preparing for next season.
"Obviously we know that last season was nowhere near good enough for Manchester United," McTominay said.
"But it is about what we do on the pitch now. It is about what standards we set on the pitch, how we go about everything on the pitch, rather than talking. So it is focus time and hopefully this season is going to be a big one for everyone involved.
"It is very very serious. Obviously we want to have fun in the training sessions as well, but the main concentration in this pre-season is getting that work in and a tactical base for the games coming up."
