Brighton could welcome back Leandro Trossard to face Aston Villa this weekend.
The Belgium international has been out of action since the end of August.
Potter said today: "Leo has been training with us this week.
"We need to be careful. He is probably not ready to start at the weekend, I think that's fair to say.
"But he is training with the group and we will make a decision this afternoon and tomorrow as to whether he is in the group.
"It is nice we have got numbers."
