Aston Villa made an attempt for Celta Vigo midfielder Pione Sisto last week.
Celta are eager to sell Sisto and accepted an offer for the Dane from Villa.
The Premier League outfit offered 10m for Sisto, who was tabled a 1m-a-year contract.
However, the winger turned down the offer.
Despite Sisto's stand, Celta remain determined to sell the attacker this month.
