Former Manchester United star Kleberson has backed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's transfer policy.

The Norwegian has brought in Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka this summer, both young and British players.

And Kleberson thinks United could reap the benefits from signing such players.

"I'm a great believer in Man United's approach of signing young players," he said to the Manchester Evening News.

"A young player now, and football in general, is very different to previous years. Many young players now will come in to a club with a good personality to play football having played with older and more experienced players in the lower leagues.

"Currently in football, it's all about investing in the young kids, and academies for the clubs are now training hard for youngsters to get a chance at the first team. A couple of young guys get the opportunity and do well and this generates interest from other big clubs.

"There are players lower down the league who have great technical ability and quality, there are smart players that are well adapted to play in the Premier League. Players improve very quickly with the right coaching."
