PUTRAJAYA: Deputy Primary Industries Minister Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin has suspended his senior private secretary Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz (pix), with immediate effect today.
Haziq Abdullah was also asked to answer a show-cause letter issued by the ministry within three days since yesterday.
“The ministry will end his service contract immediately if there is no response within the given time,“ he said at a press conference at the ministry at Putrajaya today.
Shamsul said the suspension and issuance of show-cause letter was due to Haziq Abdullah’s actions which affected the image and tarnished the reputation of the current administration.
He was referring to a video by Haziq Abdullah who confessed that he was one of the two men in a viral gay sex video. Haziq Abdullah accused Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali as the other man involved.
Azmin has since categorically denied that he was involved in the sex video.
