Juventus defender Matthijs De Ligt admits his performance against Atletico Madrid jolted him into action.
The former Ajax captain has been gradually improving since that Champions League draw.
He recalled: "After the match against Atletico in the Champions League, I told myself: this is not the player I am.
"After that I started to play with more confidence and since then the upline has begun.
"I am different from the previous international period. After the game against Estonia, I think I played six games, five of which were good or very good. I can say that I am more settled, but I still have to improve."
