Muhyiddin chairs Johor PH meeting

MUAR: President of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pix) today chaired a Johor Pakatan Harapan (PH) meeting in preparation for the Tanjung Piai by-election on Nov 16.

Muhyiddin who is also Johor PH chairman, arrived at the Bersatu office in Pagoh near here at 9.50am, greeted by leaders of Johor Bersatu and component parties.

Among those present were deputy president of Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah), Datuk Salahuddin Ayub, chairman of Johor DAP, Liew Chin Tong, chairman of the Johor State Leadership Council, Syed Ibrahim Syed Noh, and chairman of Johor Bersatu, Mazlan Bujang.

The meeting is to discuss PH’s course of action for the by-election, with nomination day on Nov 2.

Yesterday, Muhyiddin who is also Home Minister, was reported to have said the meeting would discuss the steps needed to ensure the effectiveness of the party machinery in defending the seat. — Bernama
