The Brazilian midfielder has two offers on the table, reports Le 10 Sport, from Newcastle United and Genoa.
Genoa have bid 7m for Maia plus 50 per cent of his sell-on fee.
Newcastle, meanwhile, have proposed a loan with a superior salary offer for the player's consideration.
