Valencia defender Jose Gaya is being linked with Chelsea.
Soccer Link says Chelsea have held talks over a potential swoop for the attacking full-back.
Gaya, who has made 197 appearances in all competitions for Valencia, could replace Marcos Alonso, who finds himself out of favour under Frank Lampard.
Alonso has managed just one minute of action having lost the left-back role to Emerson Palmieri.
He could get his chance against Wolves on Saturday after Palmieri suffered an injury while on international duty with Italy.
