Manchester United are eager to secure Eric Bailly to a new deal.

The Sun says United are set to sit down with Bailly over extending his contract despite his shocking injury record.

The Ivory Coast defender is out of contract next summer, and will be a free agent once his 120,000-a-week terms expire.

He is out injured until January after picking up a medial knee ligament injury in a pre-season warm-up match.

It was his second serious injury in the space of a year, following an ankle problem that kept him out for four-months.

But United feel the 25-year-old still has a future at the club, and want him to stay and be back-up to Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof.
