Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers is determined not to pay over the odds for Harry Maguire's replacement.

Manchester United are set to swell the Leicester boss' transfer kitty by a cool 85million to sign the England defender.

Asked if he feared having to pay a premium now selling clubs know he has a windfall, Rodgers responded: Its part and parcel of the game.

If Harry goes for a world-record fee, then it's because someone has met our valuation.

Similarly, we have our own valuation on players we might look to bring in.

It's something we have been preparing for. The club and the recruitment team are very, very good.

If Harry does go, we have a number of options we will look at.

If we can do some more business, then great. If not, then we will go with what we've got.

We will see over the course of the next 48 hours if we need to activate any of our options."

On Maguire's replacement, Rodgers added: It's got to be someone who can come in and fit into our style of football.

We demand a lot from the players. They've got to be able to defend, they've got to be able to press, they've got to be good at attacking the ball.

But they've also got to be good in possession, too."
