Former Chelsea assistant boss Gianfranco Zola is not surprised that Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham are first team regulars this season.
Zola, who is a club legend from his playing days, was part of the coaching staff under Maurizio Sarri last term.
But the club allowed Mount and Abraham to go out on loan, instead of giving them first team chances. Both players have become first team regulars under Frank Lampard this season.
Speaking about those two, Zola told the Evening Standard: "Mason Mount is not surprising me because I saw the videos of him playing in Holland and Derby. He needed to adapt but there was always a big potential.
"I'm not surprised about Tammy [Abraham]. When we had him he was a raw talent but I loved the attitude and positivity. They have all got a great attitude."
