Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi scored twice to help Belgium breeze past San Marino 4-0 and continue their march towards Group G qualification.

Batshuayi opened the scoring after 43 minutes from the penalty spot, before goals from Nacer Chadli and Dries Mertens extended their lead.

San Marino rarely threatened and Batshuayi rounded off the scoring and added gloss to the scoreline with his second of the night in injury-time.

The goals will be a boost to Batshuayi, who has found himself out of favour at Chelsea following the arrival of Frank Lampard.

The result means Belgium are top of Group G with 15 points from their opening five games, three points ahead of second placed Russia.
