Manchester City have won the race for teen prospect Kane Taylor.
The Telegraph says Liverpool have missed out on signing highly-rated teenager Taylor.
The left-footed midfielder, who is just 14, has moved to Manchester City after the club agreed compensation with Aston Villa.
The Reds were reportedly keen on Taylor and made efforts to persuade him to sign, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal all made representations too.
He will go into City's Under-16s squad next season.
