Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte was pleased with their 1-1 draw against Tottenham.
The Nerazzurri grabbed a 1-1 draw at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Stefano Sensi's well-worked goal cancelling out the early Lucas Moura strike, going on to win a penalty shoot-out.
I am happy because playing away to Spurs, where intensity and physical strength are their main weapons along with quality, we were still able to play our usual football and that is an important step," Conte told Inter TV.
This match is another sign that proves the desire of the team to improve and grow in terms of character. We attacked the opposition, we showed no fear and that was a good response.
We are creating a good mentality within the group, these lads want to work and that is the most important thing. We are working well on a tactical level as well as a physical one.
It's only August, but we hope to continue along this path."
