Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhttl says their opening friendly of the summer against SCR Altach will be a good test.
Saints have spent the week in Austria.
"I think the first test is not really something that gives us a message for the future, but it's important after a week of hard work that we have a chance to play two halves, with maybe two different teams," Hasenhuttl said.
"We will try to show a little bit of what we were working on during the week. This is the reason why friendly games are important for the team, for trying something new.
"It's a good finish at the end of a tough week, so I think it's a good test."
