Leandro Trossard has to show his manager that he is ready to play in the Premier League.
Brighton boss Graham Potter was asked about the chances of Trossard getting a start in their next game against Everton.
The attacker is in line for his first appearance since the end of August when they entertain the Toffees.
And Potter says it is down to the player to show he is fit and raring to go.
He told The Argus: "He had a week training so that was why we thought he needed a bit more time.
"We will see how this week goes now.
"He can have another full week's training and we will make an assessment then."
