KUALA LUMPUR: The Gerakan Martabat Pejuang Negara Malaysia (GMPN) today lodged a police report against a blog posting titled “LTAT, Tabung Haji: Amanah bantu DAP rompak dana milik Melayu-Islam”.
GMPN president Maj (Rtd) Razali Zakaria said the content of the posting which was uploaded on Tuesday was baseless and could tarnish the image and reputation of LTAT as well as Defence Minister Mohamad Sabu.
“We ask the police and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to take immediate action against those involved,“ he said after lodging the report at the Dang Wangi district police headquarters here.
On Monday, LTAT announced a dividend of two per cent for its members for the financial year (FY18), ended Dec 31, 2018 which had garnered mixed reactions and sparked criticism as well.
Meanwhile, Dang Wangi police chief ACP Mohd Fahmi Visuvanathan Abdullah when contacted confirmed receiving the report and said that the case was being investigated under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the MCMC Act. — Bernama
