Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has hailed Willian as "immense" after Sunday's 4-1 win over Southampton.
The Brazilian was a class above against the Saints, and Lampard has praised him for his leadership qualities.
"I didn't think we started that well, even though doing so had been something we'd talked about before. The goal came at the right time and after that I felt pretty comfortable. Getting four away from home - we're scoring - so it's a nice afternoon.
"Tammy's performance was great, his all-round performance and his work off the ball. But I must say I thought Willian was immense - he is an example in what he was doing on and off the ball. He's a leader - not one that shouts - but in how he performs.
"Willian was the standout today, without a doubt. If you wanted to show our wingers what we want from them, we would show them a video of his work ethic today, and his quality and burst of pace on the ball.
"In the last four or five games he has been our best player. It's a great thing to say when you have got players who are examples on the pitch around these young boys."
