Chelsea were close to signing Adrien Rabiot ahead of Juventus, it has been revealed.
The former PSG midfielder signed for Juve last week in a Bosman deal.
However, Le Parisien says Chelsea were well down the road to signing the France international last month.
But everything fell through when their transfer ban was confirmed by FIFA.
Indeed, Rabiot only turned to Juve after the prospect joining the Blues collapsed.
