Martin Odegaard is enjoying a first preseason with Real Sociedad.
The Real Madrid midfielder has signed on-loan with La Real this summer.
Odegaard told Marca: "After the last season, I had several options, there were many teams interested in me. It is true that I talked with some, including La Real, and since the first meeting with the people here I had a good feeling about the project, the idea they had about me, the club...
"Real Madrid told me there were several possibilities to choose and from the first minute I had thought of La Real for this project.
"I had many offers, including Champions League ones, but I felt for La Real from the first minute.
"With the club's people, I thought it was my best choice. I personally knew (Asier) Illarramendi and (Diego) Llorente, but of course many other players, watching them on TV. Here there are many high level players."
