Tottenham signing Tanguy Ndombele has explained why he chose to move to the Champions League finalists.
Ndombele has left Lyon for Spurs in a deal worth up to 70m.
He told L'Equipe: "When we look at it, I think it's a very good choice. What guided me is the Premier League, the top 4 in England, with a very good coach (Mauricio Pochettino), which will allow me to pass levels.
"I arrived at a turning point in my life. You weigh the pros and cons. And you choose.
"They have a pretty young team. With very good players. A club finalist of the C1 this season, we can only see the project. Paying 70m, it is a strong signal. When I look at Tottenham, I see a big European club. It's another dimension.
"To pass a level, it is the best choice. Not a default choice? Not at all. It is well thought out. Tottenham has one of the best coaches in the world. The fact that he wants you, it makes you want to go to work with him. He's the one who tipped my decision."
