Roma midfielder Nicol Zaniolo was floating after scoring his first goal for Italy last night.
Zaniolo struck in the s 9-1 Euros qualifying defeat of Armenia.
"I am very happy, I've made another dream come true tonight, but I realise it must be just the beginning and not a point of arrival," Zaniolo told Rai Sport.
Criticism is part of the game, I realise that I wasn't in good shape for a while and the best way to reply is on the pitch."
He added: "I am focused only on playing and enjoying my football. A call-up for Euro 2020 is another dream and I hope to make that come true as well."
Zaniolo made history as the youngest ever Roma player to score for Italy.
