Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has admitted some disappointment at being ignored by Spain coach Robert Moreno.
Morata was speaking after their 0-0 draw with Real Valladolid.
He said, "I was hoping to see myself there.
"If he thinks I shouldn't be there, it will be for something. I must work to do well with my team and reach the National Team."
On Atleti's season so far, Morata added: "We are fine, it is not easy, LaLiga is more difficult than a few years ago. If we continue along this line we will be go up."
