Former Turkey star Hamit Altintop says that it is not wise to write off Mesut Ozil at Arsenal.
Many Gunners fans and pundits believe that Ozil's days at the club are numbered, given he has been left out of many matchday squads by boss Unai Emery.
While Ozil is the highest earner at the club, he has not convinced Emery since the Spaniard took over at the start of last season.
But Altintop thinks there is still a way back for Ozil.
He told Goal: "Mesut is a good guy who has had an unbelievable career.
"He is always respectful and serious and that's the base for a good sportsman. He's a young man and he's allowed to make mistakes. That's important.
"His current situation at Arsenal is not good but this is part of life and his career. He worked hard for 10 years for his passion so I think he will come back."
