Burnley striker Jay Rodriguez couldn't take positives from his goal in their 4-2 defeat to Chelsea.

Rodriguez claimed his third goal of the season with a spectacular dipping long-range effort as Chelsea were belatedly rattled before hanging on to complete a 4-2 win and clock up a seventh straight victory.

But the striker's first Premier League goal at Turf Moor for his hometown club was a bitter-sweet moment for the summer signing.

It's a small consolation," Rodriguez said. If it's gaining points for the team or getting a win it means a lot more.

It doesn't mean anything when you get beaten. If it gets you a point or gets you three points it means the world."
