West Ham goalkeeper Roberto missed chances they missed to double their lead after being forced to settle for a 1-1 Premier League draw with Sheffield United.

The Irons were able to secure a point, despite allowing Lys Mousset to cancel out Robert Snodgrass's opener.

"It was a game that we should win," said the goalkeeper, who himself made important saves from David McGoldrick and George Baldock to help earn his team a point and end a run of two successive defeats. We needed to win and unfortunately we didn't, so maybe you could have the feeling that it's two points dropped for us.

It was a tough game. We knew it would be as Sheffield United play a risky game and try to score goals with all eleven players.

We also had a few chances to close the game at 2-0 but unfortunately we couldn't take them and get the result."

Roberto insists the Hammers have time to rediscover their best form and mount a challenge for European qualification; starting with next Saturday's home game against Newcastle United.

The Premier League is a very long season," he observed. It's 38 games long and every team goes through different moments.

Maybe this is a difficult moment for us when it comes to victories, but we will try to change the situation when we play at home again next Saturday and start winning again as we were at the beginning of the Premier League season."
