Arsenal have stepped up plans to sign Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Vazquez.
AS says the two clubs have already entered negotiations over the winger, with the Gunners set to enter talks with the player over a deal worth 35m which could be concluded early next week.
The price tag would see the north London club pay an initial 28.7m, with a further 2.7m in add-ons attached to the deal.
Vazquez, 28, is one of the players who could be shipped out by returning boss Zinedine Zidane as part of his summer rebuild at the Bernabeu.
The signing of Eden Hazard has dropped him further down the pecking order for wide players, and the Gunners are poised to swoop with Crystal Palace looking likely to price them out of a move for Wilfried Zaha.
Vazquez is keen on a Premier League move, although he could use interest and offers from Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain to strengthen his position when negotiating with Arsenal.
