Manchester United have put together a budget of 300m to rebuild their squad and are aiming to tie up several big signings for next summer.
United have been heavily linked with Lyon striker Moussa Dembele and Leicester City playmaker James Maddison.
However, they are prepared to wait until the summer if neither is available at the right price in January.
