Tottenham and Lyon have agreed a fee for Tanguy Ndombele.

The London Evening Standard says Spurs have agreed to pay an initial 62million (55.45m), while the overall deal could rise to over 63m due to future incentives.

The deal will smash Tottenham's club-record fee set when Davinson Sanchez arrived from Ajax in 2017 for 42m, and could be the club's first signing since the arrival of Lucas Moura in January 2018.

Ndombele, who has already been shown round Tottenham's training ground, is expected to sign a five-year-deal which will see him become one of the club's highest-paid players, a considerable increase on his current wage, thought to be between 50,000-60,000-a-week.

Tottenham are also set to complete the signing of Leeds United's teenage winger Jack Clarke and remain in pole position to sign Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon but much of their business depends on the future of current first-team players, including playmaker Christian Eriksen and right-back Kieran Trippier.
