Edu could join Arsenal as the club's new technical director as early as Friday, according to reports.
The former Gunners midfielder is currently with the general co-ordinator of the Brazil national team, who won the Copa America final against Peru on Sunday.
He has been granted permission to speak with the club's hierarchy and will complete a move shortly after Sunday's Copa America final, according to football.london.
The 41-year-old has already had some influence on Arsenal's summer, with recent signing Gabriel Martinelli crediting Edu with helping him move to the Emirates.
