Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has put Mason Greenwood on notice for the new season.

Greenwood, a product of United's Academy, made his full debut in the final game of last season, a dismal 2-0 home defeat to already relegated Cardiff.

"Mason will definitely play more games," said Solskjaer.

"He's grown over the summer. I think his confidence has grown a lot after that Cardiff game, because he was our best player in that game."

United striker Marcus Rashford is also expecting Greenwood to make the step up next season and said: "He'll definitely get more game-time and everyone is enjoying watching him develop and grow.

"That step up from academy football to men's football can be difficult, but he had a good game against Cardiff on the last day of the season and that's put him in good stead for the position he's in now."
