Spain coach Roberto Moreno insists Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Odegaard wouldn't be good enough for his squad.
Odegaard is ready to play for Norway against Spain on Saturday night.
Asked if he would make it into the Spain team, Moreno was clear.
"I'm sorry, but no," Moreno said. "Our players are better. I don't want to disrespect anyone. I think we have a great team.
"Now he [Odegaard] is playing in midfield at Real Sociedad and is reaching a high level. He is doing amazingly well.
"At the end of the day Norway are a good team and we will have to be effective to get the win.
"He is doing well, but there won't be a plan to stop a specific player. I wouldn't make a specific plan to stop him or anyone else."
